What you will learn

What flows are, which come ready-made, how to activate your first one and how to track performance.

What a flow is

A flow (sometimes called a drip sequence) works on its own: a trigger puts the contact in (a signup, an abandoned cart, a purchase), and the steps send messages by email and WhatsApp with the delays and conditions you define. Anyone who converts along the way exits the flow — no one gets “come back to your cart” after buying.

The ready-made templates

Under Automations › Flows, the Ready-made templates gallery brings the validated flows, ready to turn on in a few clicks and adjust later on the canvas:
  • 👋 Welcome — three emails: one right after signup, another a day later and the third two days after the second, up to the first purchase. Whoever buys, exits — whoever hasn’t bought yet keeps receiving the sequence.
  • 🛒 Abandoned cart — fires after the customer goes inactive with items in the cart (15 minutes by default; requires the pixel installed). A day after the first email comes the second touch: another email for those who clicked the first one, WhatsApp for those who didn’t.
  • ⭐ Post-purchase — three emails from the paid order: the confirmation as soon as the order reaches Cliqo, a “how was your experience?” 7 days later and a “we miss you” 30 days later (requires the store integration).
Each card shows its state (“Use template” or “In use — view flow”). Templates marked Coming soon (browse abandonment, price drop, time to reorder) are not available yet.

Activate your first one

  1. Choose Welcome — it has the fewest prerequisites.
  2. Pick the template for each of the three emails: the step arrives marked Select a template →, and without a template the flow won’t activate.
  3. Activate flow. Activation validates everything; if any step is incomplete (for example, missing a template), the screen points to the exact block.
Who enters the welcome flow: contacts who just signed up with consent (popup, form inside the email, manual signup, API). An imported base does not enter — an import is not a new signup (understand why).

Tracking: the live funnel

Every active flow shows its funnel in real time: how many entered, how many are waiting now at each step, how many were sent, opened, clicked — and, at the end, who exited on conversion versus who finished without converting. A paused flow shows its numbers frozen, and marked as such.

Pausing is not deactivating

Pausing freezes: whoever is inside stays where they are and resumes from the same point when you reactivate. While the flow is paused, nobody new enters it. One caveat: if, during the pause, a step became overdue by more than 24 hours, the engine doesn’t send it late — on reactivation, the flow pauses itself again (understand why). A flow that has already sent messages cannot be deleted — pause it; the report history stays intact.
