AMP for Email is the technology, created by Google, that lets an email behave like an application: buttons that respond, carousels that slide, forms that submit — all inside the inbox, without opening a new tab. It’s the foundation of Cliqo.

Where the interactive version appears

In Gmail and Yahoo Mail, after your sender goes through sender registration. In Gmail, the interactive email shows a lightning bolt ⚡ next to the sender. One detail that surprises people: Gmail chooses between the interactive and the static version at open time, not at delivery time. The same email can open static today and interactive tomorrow (for example, when a freshly approved registration finishes propagating).

And those who don’t see AMP?

They automatically receive the equivalent HTML version — Outlook, Apple Mail, and all other clients. This fallback is half the product, and Cliqo treats it as first class:
  • Content that in AMP appears on interaction is born visible in the HTML: the quiz becomes an open list, the carousel becomes stacked cards, the accordion becomes an expanded FAQ.
  • The copy never instructs an interaction that doesn’t exist — no “swipe” or “tap” in the static version.
  • No email ever arrives broken. That’s the difference between a real fallback and the one from tools that merely strip out the interactive code.
Interactive coverage is never 100% even among Gmail users — corporate accounts can have dynamic email disabled by the administrator. The fallback guarantees the message works for everyone.

The three versions of every send

Every send with an interactive block goes out with three parts, generated automatically: A template without interactive blocks goes out with only the plain text and the HTML — there’s no interactive part to send. Before every send, the interactive part goes through Google’s official validator in the correct email dialect. If anything is off-spec, Cliqo sends the safety version (HTML) and flags it in the report — it never sends invalid AMP.

What you can do inside the email

Prize wheel, scratch card, quiz (including with photos), satisfaction survey and NPS, star rating, catalog browsable by category, carousels, interest form, FAQ accordion, countdown timer — and Pix payment inside the email, with the QR code generated on the spot by your gateway.
