What you will learn

How Cliqo pop-ups work, the two prerequisites to go live and the cycle of publishing, updating and taking down.

How it works

A pop-up is a piece published on your store by Cliqo: whoever fills it in becomes a contact in your base, with the consent on record (date, source, what they authorized), and can trigger the welcome flow next. Everything is managed from here — after the initial pixel installation, you publish and unpublish pieces without ever touching the store theme again.

The two prerequisites

  1. Pixel installed — the same script that feeds the browsing segments is what displays the pieces. Installation in Settings › Pixel (Google Tag Manager, the Loja Integrada admin panel, or manual — 5 minutes).
  2. Verified brand domain (Settings › Domain) — the piece is only served on pages of the brand’s verified domain. It’s a safety lock: nobody publishes your pop-up on a site that isn’t yours.
In Pop-ups, its own item in the side menu, the templates are organized by objective — capture leads, know the customer, recover sales, raise the basket, convert coupons. Available today:
  • Welcome — the most used: offer + coupon in exchange for signing up. Full guide.
  • Prize wheel — signing up spins a wheel with prizes and weights you define.
  • Scratch card — signing up opens a scratch card: the visitor scratches the cover and sees the prize. Full guide.
  • Discovery quiz — up to three questions before the email; each answer becomes a segment. Full guide.
The other gallery templates appear greyed out, not publishable yet: cart rescue, free shipping bar, coupon reminder and recommendation rail, marked Needs your store (they depend on the store platform integration). Starting from scratch with a free-form builder isn’t available yet either.

LGPD and accessibility, by construction

In the last step, Review & activate, the screen shows the Automatic checks computed on the piece: LGPD consent with the legal name, CNPJ (Brazilian company tax ID) and privacy policy link; minimum accessibility contrast (AA) on the brand colors; keyboard and screen-reader navigation; an active display cap; and the fixed rule that a pop-up never appears on checkout — nobody interrupts a purchase in progress. While the legal name, the privacy policy or enough contrast is missing, the Publish to the store button stays locked.

Publish, update, take down

  • Publish to the store — the piece goes live on the pages and conditions you configured.
  • Edited a published piece (via Configure)? Publishing again replaces the one that is live — and if you change the piece after publishing it, the button becomes Publish changes.
  • The “Your pop-ups” section, at the top of the Pop-ups screen, lists the brand’s pieces — Live or Off — with Take down (removes it from the store immediately; the piece stays saved), Put live to turn it back on and Configure to edit it. A piece that is off can also be deleted.
Each piece has its own report (in Reports › By campaign, Pop-up tab, View report button): impressions, capture rate, coupons used and why the pop-up did not appear to those who didn’t see it (already signed up, within the frequency interval, closed it twice, another pop-up in the visit…).
